Before moving to Maine, I was a college professor for 15 years. I'm a state certified secondary education teacher. Have worked with infants, day care, elementary, and secondary aged children. Also have worked in special education and with children with special needs. Additionally, I have a current Red Cross First Aid Certification for Children, Adults, and Pets. Joanna helped babysit a total of 10 children (cousins) aged 4 months to 7 years for a family wedding of ours, and she was absolutely incredible. Her attention to detail, professionalism, timeliness, consideration and caution with the kids was astounding to see as a new parent. She made all 5 of the parents leaving their children in her care feel comforted, safe and assured that they were in the best hands possible. She followed bedtime routines to a tee and when a child wasn't feeling well, administered tylenol to make them as comfortable as possible. We cannot recommend Joanna enough and for those that are local (and lucky enough) to have her as a repeat sitter, we envy you!
