About Joan

Hello, upfront: I do not directly have experience tutoring. However, I have years of experience with children. For many years I worked as the head Sunday school teacher for a 2-year-old class. Also years of babysitting for friends and family. I am older, but I have never forgotten what it is like to think like a child so my empathy seems to help me connect with children on a level they can understand. I did briefly run a day care in my home, I gave it up only because I needed to return to a more stable income. My husband and I recently moved to the area and I am looking for full time work. My grown niece has been encouraging me to sign up on care. com because she loves it and thinks that I would be a good at this. I do prefer working with elementary aged children mainly. Thank you.
