About Jessie

I'd describe my personality as bubbly, honest and caring. I like tutoring because I get to share my passion with students who are passionate about the arts just as much as I am. I'm looking for a job that has compassion, communication and allows me to have work-life balance. I started tutoring when I first started teaching, over 10 years ago. I was an art teacher for many years and transitioned into an administration role in education. Missing the arts, I later opened up an art classes and tutoring company, NeuroHappy Art. This opportunity allowed me to continue exploring and sharing my creativity. In my spare time, I like to paint, draw and go adventures with my daughter and dog. One thing you should know about me is I am neurodivergent, with a tic disorder. This challenge had allowed me really to value and provide a safe learning environments for my students. My skills include art techniques, content knowledge such as art history and movements and basic art concepts.
