Experience: 10 yrs
I am a career nanny and Newborn Care Specialist with over 10 years of experience across age groups, including kids with ASD, ADHD, and allergies. I'm CPR and first aid certified, trained in Water Safety, and always striving to learn more about child development and psychology. As a yoga teacher, musician, nature lover, and artist, I aim to weave mindfulness, creativity, movement, and plenty of child-directed, play-based outdoor learning into my work with young children. I have a warm, grounded energy, and I am passionate about modeling empathy, patience, and curiosity. My childcare philosophy is to provide a safe and supportive environment for children to learn, play, and create, while still setting clear boundaries and supportive routines. I also offer light housekeeping and food prep - I especially love to get kids involved in household tasks, tapping into their natural desires to learn and be helpful. I would love to talk more about what your family is looking for.
Jess was an incredible support to our family during the newborn phase. She was consistently punctual, professional, and extraordinarily helpful from day one. Her knowledge of newborns, sleep development, and safe sleep practices was clear in everything she did. While formal sleep training is not something you do with very young babies, she understood exactly how to encourage healthy sleep habits and gently help our baby begin stretching sleep for longer periods in an age appropriate way. Beyond her technical knowledge, what stood out most was her empathy and genuine care. She is incredibly sweet, calm, and attentive. We fully trusted her with our child and even trusted her in her home, which says a lot about the level of confidence she inspired in us. It was obvious that she truly cared about our baby’s well being, not just doing a job. Having a night nanny during the newborn stage made a profound difference in our lives. The newborn phase is filled with frequent wake ups throughout the entire night, and the cumulative exhaustion can be overwhelming. Because of Jess, we were able to get meaningful stretches of rest instead of being up again and again. That sleep allowed us to show up more patient, present, and steady for our baby (and toddler, as well as for each other) during the day. She gave our family the gift of rest and peace of mind during a demanding season, and we are deeply grateful for her care.
