About Alison

My experience with children began 16 years ago with the birth of my first daughter and then again three years later with my second girl. I stopped working outside the home so I could stay home with them until they started school. I happily accepted and continued with for 8 years. About 2 years ago, I left my job so that I could devote more time helping my husband with our family's electrical contracting business. What I've noticed is that I really miss being with children, especially since my children are getting older and more independent. I think that my "specialty" with children is my desire to find what interests each individual child and to really build on that. If a child wants to wander in nature collecting rocks and leaves, we do that. If a child enjoys being energetic with sports, climbing, swimming and running, we do that. If a child wants to sit and read and has a hunger for learning, I enjoy finding the things they love learning about the most. I also believe that they thrive with loving guidance and safe boundaries.
