I have worked with children ages 1 month - 13 years for more than 15 years now. It has been a joy and a privilege. I am currently a preschool teacher at a local school. While I love my work, it isn't paying quite enough to cover the bills. I would love to keep teaching, as I genuinely care for and enjoy working with children. A few evenings a week would help me to continue doing what I love. I believe children learn through play and practice. I try to develop a solid foundation in empathy, persistence, and curiosity with children I care for, building on their natural interests to enable them to learn about the people and world around them. I have my Director's Certification in Early Childhood, and am First Aid, CPR and AED qualified. I have taken all of the available classes in Early Childhood Education, and taught a few on guidance strategies, discipline techniques and modeling behavior myself.
