I've also had the opportunity to teach toddlers in a classroom setting and volunteer in a kindergarten classroom. When I accepted my first nanny position in 2010, it was clear I had found my forever career. Being a nanny has been tremendously rewarding. I am able to interact with children in a personal setting while utilizing my teaching skills through planned activities and fun outings! Jess has been our nanny for the last 2 years and I can't even put into words how distraught we are that she has to move on to a new family!! My youngest is starting 1st grade and we no longer need a full time nanny (although I have considered having another baby just to keep Jess around for a few more years...) She has been great for my kids and my kids adore her! She plans activities, researches crafts and fun things to do around Columbus, organizes play dates, and helps me in so many ways. She is proactive and extremely helpful around the house (pick up milk, clean out the fridge, organize my junk drawer, etc) without being asked. She researched summer activities and camps and helped me plan out a fun summer for the kids. She helps the kids get their homework done before I get home and even helped out in my daughters kindergarten class several days a week. She is amazing and any family that hires her will be extremely lucky to have her! Happy to provide more details any time.
