I work on fine motor, written expression, adaptive skills, social/emotional regulation. Pertaining to elementary school level, I work on reading comprehension, vocabulary, mat, math, science and incorporate arts & crafts for my sessions. General Education: However, I can also work with your child only focusing on English and/or math assignments with learning tools for time management and organization skills. Services provided below: -Work with you through reading comprehension and literary analysis -Provide help with editing, grammar, and thinking abstractly to hone in your critical thinking skills -Help edit essays and/or writing assignments and provide feedback on what you need to work on, looking at the big picture! We found Jennifer poorly suited for our neurodiverse and rather discouraged learner. She had a frostiness and rigidity about her -- attempts at fun activities or rapport building felt forced, and when my child did not understand the material, Jennifer did not back up and explain adequately. Rather, she seemed frustrated and just pressed on, essentially dragging the child along/leaving her behind. She did not stop to check-in on understanding or comfort with the material. Jennifer was also inflexible about scheduling - ignoring and seeming puzzled by my request for a consistent time for sessions, and also oddly declaring when she would be coming rather than having a discussion about suitable times. Jennifer was not the right tutor to support my child in making meaningful progress.
