About Jantzen

I have experience caring for newborns, toddlers, and children up to 10 years old. I also have taught children who are in middle school and teenagers in high school in the public school system. My most recent experience as a nanny was with a little girl who was a newborn when I started. I was her nanny for a year and a half. Her family opted to put her in an all day preschool for further socialization with her peers. I enjoy being a nanny as I love to watch children as they grow through various stages of development. I love to watch them explore the world around them. I enjoy facilitating fun activities that help increase their confidence as they grow. I believe in helping children of all ages explore as they learn about themselves and their environment. I am a think outside the box type of person. I like to have fun learning with children through everyday activities: never to early to learn to put away toys and help clean up, making music with wooden spoons and tupperware, reading books, walking in the neighborhood and learning colors and words, learning sign language to communicate more, please, drink, or thank you until baby has learned to speak, and a little finger painting is always fun. I really find it very important to help children feel safe and happy in their surroundings. I love helping them to learn and helping them to increase their confidence and independence.
