About Janis

I am an active, positive 71-year-old retired Registered Nurse. Infants and children have always been a huge part of my life. I worked as a nurse for 32 years, caring for healthy newborns and Newborn Intensive Care sick newborns, as well as infants and children of all ages, including those with special needs such as Autism, ADHD and Down Syndrome. I have two adult children and three wonderful grandchildren of my own. I co-parented all of my grandchildren while their parents worked, from the time they were 6 weeks old until they started school and to date, remain quite close to them. In fact, I even take lunch to school and eat with my 8 yr. old grandson once a week and he also spends every Friday night with me.
