About Isabella

Hello! I'm Izzy, a dedicated and passionate caregiver with 6 years of experience supporting children and teens with disabilities in school, camp, and home settings. I am currently studying to be a special education teacher at the UofA. I was also a paraprofessional at a local middle school for two years. I currently work as inclusion coordinator at the JCC where I supervise and support both staff and campers. My approach is patient, calm and individualized. Every child is unique so I take the time to understand their strengths, support needs, communication style and interests. I have experience with: - Autism Spectrum Disorder - Down syndrome - ADHD - Developmental and intellectual disabilities - Cerebral Palsy - Complex medical needs - Challenging behaviors including aggression towards self and others My goal is always to help children feel safe, respected, and capable while giving parents piece of mind that their child is in caring and experienced hands!
