About Hilda

I'd describe my personality as highly empathetic, intuitive, and dynamic. I like tutoring because as a special education math teacher I enjoy discerning students learning styles to make learning accessible and fun for them. I'm looking for a job that lets me use my creativity and love for kids to open a whole new world of opportunities for them. I started tutoring when I was fed up with our current school system. In my spare time, I like to play with my dog and enjoy nature with my family and other dog lovers in my neighborhood. One thing you should know about me is I am loving and patient with children. My skills include chunking math concepts into visual groups and pacing content to avoid frustration while keeping it challenging enough to assure academic progress.
