About Heather

I'd describe my personality as flexible, easy-going, and gentle. I like working with kids because they are hilarious and cute. I'm looking for a job that allows me to fill in part-time and give parents a break. I started working with kids when I became a mother 20 years ago, but professionally I've worked with developmentally delayed children for 2 years, and I am a second year Master's degree candidate for a Master's of Science in Applied Behavioral Analysis. In my spare time, I like to watch movies, and take walks. One thing you should know about me is I have a passion for working with kiddos. My skills include training in non-invasive interventions for behaviors like biting, hitting, and kicking; CPR and first aid training from Emergency Medical Technician school; and balancing watching more than one child at a time from having to deliver care to children with siblings in the home and raising twin boys myself.
