About Halina

Halina joined our family as a live-in caregiver for our 89 year old mom in January 2015 and was employed in that capacity until September 2015, at which time my mother moved into a memory care facility. Halina's duties included meal preparation, medication management, mobility assistance, help with bathing, dressing and personal care, transportation to shopping, doctor's appointments, church and social functions, laundry and light housekeeping. My mother has low blood pressure and Halina diligently monitored and recorded blood pressure readings several times a day and also ensured that my mom elevated her legs and wore medical compression hose for one hour each day as ordered by her physician. The three meals plus snacks each day that Halina prepared were flavorful and nutritious and always made with fresh, whole foods. She took it upon herself to cook my mother's favorite dishes and even baked her favorite homemade pizza and desserts. In addition to assistance with all aspects of daily living, making it possible for my mom to stay in her own home, Halina also provided companionship and proactively sought to keep mom engaged and socialized. She researched and networked for those opportunities and discovered a city sponsored Center where my mother could take art classes, exercise and visit with her peers. They also attended church together on Sunday mornings and stayed after services for a social. There was really nothing she wouldn't do if it made my mom happy!. Halina is an extremely hard working and dedicated employee and is truly committed to providing the best care for her patients. She is honest and trustworthy and provided our family with a high level of confidence and the comfort of knowing our mother was safely in good hands
