Barbara worked with my mom for nearly six years- right up until the day she died. She was a godsend to our family. Initially, we ask Barbara to spend several hours a week with my mom who suffered from dementia. As my mom's dementia worsened, Barbar took on more and more time until eventually she was coordinating 24 hour care for my in her apartment. I can't say enough about Barbara. She is smart, kind, and loving and has a heart of gold. Trained as a CNA, she has incredible clinical acumen. We came to rely COMPLETELY on Barbara, and she NEVER let us down. Not once. While Barbara provided exceptional high quality care for our mom, what I appreciated the most was the connection she formed with my mom. She saw my mom for the curious, adventurous soul she was and indulged that aspect of her personality. They went to museums and shows. They gardened and cooked together. They went on long walks by the lake together and when my mom became wheelchair bound, Barbara pushed my mom everywhere. Barbara is a blessing to my family. My mom died on Thanksgiving surrounded by the people she loved most- including Barbara.
