About Guadalupe

I currently work as a Special Education Classroom Assistant for Chicago Public Schools. I've gained child care work experience working directly in the classrooms with all students from Pre-K - 4th grade, for the past 5 years. Working with children in a classroom has allowed me to gain skills and knowledge as an educator, and utilize them outside of a school setting. I'd describe my personality as patient, kind, and compassionate. I like working with kids because I feel a deep sense of purpose being able to be a part of their academic and social growth. I strive to make each student feel confident, safe, seen, and supported. Working with kids has given me the opportunity to have a joyful and fun filled day whether it's doing crafts, during play time, or during their curriculum sessions. In my spare time I like to workout, read, scrapbook and go to concerts with my friends. I love traveling and exploring new cultures!
