About Erin

Love of learning starts at a young age. My goal is to nurture the love of learning! I'd describe my personality as caring, determined, and creative. I like tutoring because everyone has a great potential with the right teacher and with various learning styles taken into consideration. I'm looking for a job that is a good balance small and big successes! I started tutoring in 2016 when I was in college for the Boys and Girls Club of Brandon through St. Petersburg College of Education. In my spare time, I like to cook meals and am getting back into sewing! One thing you should know about me is I try to be as encouraging as possible and also structured with the time spent in tutoring sessions. I try to engage, challenge, teach and praise the student for the hard work he or she does, no matter how small! I balance hard work with fun, and teach good work ethic to the student with practice and praise! My skills include teaching reading and basic math to pre-algebra.
