I have acquired over 10 years in the youth development and educational arena via UGA Cooperative Extension and working as a paraprofessional and substitute. I have been a nanny to many single/dual military families since I was a teen. I can prepare balanced meals, complete light housework, and take children to various appointments in my car. I believe kids should be active and not babysat by electronics. I have even taught children with special needs. I am very familiar with the various state curriculum standards, previously home schooled my own son for one school year and have a strong background in math and language arts. I have tutored children of all ages and believe school work comes first. I am a huge advocate for reading and regularly use the free resources provided by the area such as Myon, Study Island and MobyMax to support specific benchmarks depending on the child.
