About Emma

My passion for working with children began when I created my own summer camps with young children. They consisted of art, physical activity, and a healthy snack. Next, I moved into community education classes where I was the supervisor of sports. I fell in love with this work as I could incorporate my artistic abilities into my daily planning while making meaningful connections with a variety of kids. I then became a PCA for a young autistic and down syndrome boy where I learned a lot of heavy care-taking skills and strategies. I taught swimming lessons from my backyard, it was fun to share and teach this activity. I worked at the Montessori where I completed several training courses. I played a large role in teaching, behavior management, and nurturing the students. These relationships lead to my decision to major in Education at College of St. Ben's in the fall. I am really looking forward to helping a family as a nanny this summer. I'm passionate about making kids feel comfortable.
