About Emma

My approach is to meet children where they are at and help them gain self-confidence and intrinsic motivation in whatever they are growing at. Mistakes are an opportunity to learn and grow. I have a bachelors degree in elementary education from Webster University. I earned a Missouri State Teaching License in grades 1 to 6 and additional certificates in middle school social studies and language arts. I worked in a variety of public education settings including as a first grade teacher . I decided I wanted something different than public education which inspired me to switch to Montessori Education. I am an assistant guide in a mixed age lower elementary classroom with ages 6 - 9 years old. I am currently pursuing a Montessori Teaching Certification.
