Hi, I'm Emily! I'm a longtime nanny and family assistant who truly becomes a family's right hand girl. I love being in the rhythm of a home and helping everything run smoothly. I'm naturally organized and proactive, so I stay on top of schedules, school logistics, errands, activity coordination, light meal prep, kids laundry, and all the little moving pieces that can pile up. Organization is genuinely one of my strengths. I love creating systems that make life feel easier and calmer. With kids, I'm playful, creative, and very present. I'll happily plan a craft, run around at the park, read 10 silly books in a row, help with homework, or just sit and talk through big feelings. I'm patient, steady, and really tuned in to what kids need emotionally. I take a lot of pride in being someone parents can fully rely on. I want the home to feel peaceful, supported, and well cared for every single day.
We call Emily a unicorn nanny because she is so wonderful, magical and rare. Emily has an abundance of love for the little ones, but knows how to balance firmness and hold boundaries. She is fun, silly, endlessly creative and full of joy. She understands how important her job is and takes it really seriously, wanting to replicate our parenting style, seeking feedback for how she’s doing to make sure she can operate as part of the family. She even bakes delicious treats! Even after 3 years, Our kiddos get excited to see her and miss her when she’s gone. Emily started working with us when our daughter was 15 months old, was our hero when our son was born and has been incredible at navigating full time care for a toddler/infant to now toddler/toddler combo. Our children are now 3.5 and 1.5 and Emily was there every step of the way - caring for them as if they were her own. She is so loving, fun and trustworthy that she operates as an extension of you - like having a third parent during the day. Our older child has some sensory processing and regulation difficulties, and emily has navigated that deftly - finding ways to balance the nuanced care she needs while also making sure our little boy gets plenty of love and attention. We feel so LUCKY to have found Emily and are very sad to not have her in our lives daily anymore, but our childcare needs have changed. We are excited for the next family to experience how wonderful she is.
