Liz worked for my mother for about 3 months and she became my mother's best friend. She was very strong, capable of handling my mother's difficult physical needs, especially helping her feel safe when moving from place to place. She worked the afternoon through later evening shift and my mother felt a friend was coming to chat. Liz would bring lobster rolls and anything else my mother wanted to have. She helped my mother feel like more than just a patient which is something my mother really needed as she has no friends around. When my mother got agitated and confused, which was fairly frequently, Liz had a way about her that would be clear, accepting and would often calm my mother when she couldn't make sense of things. She was part of a team of 3 others plus myself and communicated professionally and has a great way about her. She really cared for my mother and, you can tell and my mother could tell. So when my mother passed, she felt the love of a friend and she felt relevant in a life that at the time was difficult. My mum's team and I got together today, and the love I felt for them was warming and comforting. I know that they will always be there for me too. I would trust her with anything. When my mother was in the hospital my mother gave her all her jewelry to hold for her. That's trust. I can't recommend her enough.
