About Elizabeth

Hello! In 2014 my mom had a very debilitating stroke. The stroke caused her to suffer from severe vascular dementia and verbal aphasia. After her stroke she needed 24/7 care. The decision was made to have her move into our home where I would be her caregiver. I provided medication prompting, blood pressure assessment, speech and physical therapy, appointment setting and transportation, food preparation, bathing and dressing, and house keeping. But, the most important care I provided was a fun positive attitude. I also planned outings that interested her to keep her happy and to stimulate her brain. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, friends and pets. I have been married for 20 years and have 3 teenage children that attend High School. One thing you should know about me is I love animals and volunteer/foster for the Az. Humane Society. I think most important skills I possess are common sense, compassion and work ethic.
