About Denise

I am a former center-based childcare worker; current homeschooling mother of 2. I worked for over 7 years in center-based childcare centers where I worked with infants - school-age. I also worked as a nanny. I prefer to provide individualized attention and work for only one family at a time. As a homeschooling parent, I am familiar with many curricula and am able to help with schoolwork. I am comfortable with baby-wearing, cloth diapering, and teaching children with special needs and food allergies. I have a membership to the Oregon Zoo and love to visit the library weekly. With previous families, I have included their children in our trips to pick berries, hike trails and explore nature, attend concerts and puppet shows, and have fun at the pumpkin patch. I have a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Developmental Psychology from Oregon State University. In the past, I have had certifications in CPR and first aid and am willing to get re-certified.
