Hi my name is De'Lisha. I am a 31-year-old female and mom to a wonderful 2-year-old and I'm from Washington, D. C. I love working with children. I am currently in online school pursuing a psychology degree with plans to be an educational psychologist or children therapist. I have been working with children for over 9 years. Previously I've worked in schools, daycare, and early learning centers as an assistant teacher and a nanny to a couple families in the DC area. I have worked with infants/ toddlers, preschool, school age and preteens. Although I enjoy working in those type of settings I love working one on one with families even more. My skills include virtual learning assistance, positive affirmations and coping strategies, implementing fun and engaging activities, infant and toddler milestones, potty training, helping with speech and language, light house hold chores and having a fun loving energetic spirit. Delisha worked with us for the second half of the 2020-2021 school year, primarily with our Kindergarten twin boys as they navigated online home learning. Our third grader was also occasionally home (opened up to in-person learning the last semester) Lisha did a great job supporting the challenging technology issues of online learning, which was unfortunately very complicated with multiple platforms and moving schedules. She has a calm, unflappable, kind but no-nonsense style with kids that was very helpful for three boys needing to stay on task. Smart, responsible and responsive to family needs.
