About Deidre

I am a CLRA certified tutor at my college, specifically in English, but I tutor students at my college's writing center as they prepare all types of essays. To list a few: scholarship essays, college application essays, literary analysis essays, research papers, and a slew of other types of academic papers. I'm an English major, so writing, and helping others write, is a deep passion of mine. CLRA works on minimalist tutoring, helping the kids to learn for themselves how to identify and correct their own mistakes. It's a bit like the saying "give a man a fish, you'll feed him for today; teach him how to fish and you'll feed him for a lifetime." My goal is to help your child to learn to recognize and fix mistakes in his or her paper, so that they become better writers and have the knowledge and confidence to succeed in writing on their own.
