About Dakaria

Hi, my name is Dakaria, and I often go by my nickname, Kari. Many of the children I work with call me Ms. Kari or Teacher Kari. I have worked professionally with children and teenagers for almost 11 years. I focus much of my care on social-emotional learning and supporting children in developing skills to regulate their nervous system. I am currently a part-time administrative assistant for a small private school that serves children from toddler age through middle school. I have also been an after-school teacher and completed early childhood education training through HighScope. I really enjoy traveling with my friends and family, listening to audiobooks, and learning.
