About Ciara

Hi! I am an Elementary Education senior at Texas State University! I am graduating this fall of 2024. So far, I have completed 3 internships with children being involved. One being an early childhood education course and accompanying internship at Bonham Preschool. Another being an English as a Second Language course with an accompanying internship at Blazier Primary school in Austin. I am also certified by the state with my ESL certification. I recently completed my classroom management and literacy courses with an accompanying internship in a 4th grade classroom at Bowie Elementary School. I am entering into my final semester this fall, which is my student teaching internship and graduating in December. I love working with children because there is not only so much for them to learn from me, but I also learn a lot from them. I see all children from an asset-based lens, tailoring activities to their background knowledge, prior experiences, interests, and cultural backgrounds.
