About Mary

Hello, my name is Mary! I am a very enthusiastic and care free person. I graduated from LSU with a degree in Early Childhood Education in 2014. I have taught in public school in 4th grade, kindergarten, and pre-k. I was the lead teacher in a classroom of 11 2-year-olds. I have a passion for science which lead me to teach hands-on science classes at a museum in Louisiana. For the past four years I have worked as a full time nanny for a little boy. During this time I have potty trained as well as taught him how to talk, read, and write. I created very detailed daily schedules with weekly lesson plans focusing on his abilities and interests. I strongly believe that children learn through play and discovery. So, I really enjoy playing, exploring, and reading with children. I am very responsible, hard working, and punctual. I will make sure any child I work with is learning, and laughing!
