About Chelsea

I've loved science since I was a kid learning about ecology in my father's organic greenhouse. I earned a B. S. in Aviation Management from Florida Institute of Technology and spent 5 years as an Army Officer. After leaving the Army, I decided to pursue my passion for science by earning another B. S. in Wildlife Biology from Missouri State University. I've spent the last 3 years working with exotic animals such lions, tigers, leopards, two-toed sloths, ring-tailed lemurs, and more while educating the public about the challenges these species face both in captivity and in the wild. Many people find science challenging and intimidating, but there's nothing I love more than showing people how exciting, illuminating, and accessible it really is to anyone who's interested!
