I have been working in education for five years. I started out as an AmeriCorps member at Stuart-Hobson Middle School, providing academic support in Algebra and Pre-Algebra for 7th and 8th grade students. In the following year, I joined the City Teaching Alliance Program (formerly known as Urban Teachers). Through this program, I was able to earn my Masters degree in Secondary Math and Special Education. During this time, I taught high school Algebra for three years (both as a general education teacher and special education teacher). I also tutored students in grades 7-11 in the HHIP (Home and Hospital Instructional Program) in my free time. Currently, I am working as a Case Manager for 25 scholars and a Special Education Teacher for 8th grade Physical Science at Paul Public Charter School. Case management is my primary role, which I love. I am a special education teacher and part-time tutor. I can help with light housekeeping, cooking, laundry, grocery shopping and homework help.
