Hello! My name is Ashley. I'm originally from DC. Before the pandemic, I was a full-time visual arts teacher. I taught 4th-6th grade at an all-girls school in DC, and I taught 3rd-8th grade at a coed Quaker school in Maryland. I received a BFA in Art & Design Education from Pratt Institute in 2013. While in school, I worked at an after-school program as a tutor, and I babysat a young kid for two years whose parent was a principal and founder of a charter school. I really enjoy working with kids! I love babysitting because it's an opportunity to connect with just a few kids rather than a large classroom. You're able to really learn and support a child's development and provide a safe, creative space on an individual level.
