About Catherine

I have extensive experience in working with gifted and talented, also difficult-to-manage children and adolescents--sometimes the more "onerous" the better! I also have extensive Special Education (SPED) experience, and am actively registered as a Home-Hospital-Tutor (HHT) for the State of Hawaii DOE--Honolulu District, through the SPED Division. I have a very strong background in Clinical Psychology, and read approximately 150 pages of medical information a week to stay current on medications, therapeutic treatment advances, and the latest in Psychology and Medicine. I have degrees in Clinical Psychology from University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. I design and implement individual learning plans for all my students (4th - college and post-grad), and have worked with over 450 students in my 25 years as a private tutor. I have worked extensively with the DOE, Hawaii Tutoring Services, and on my own with students from just about every school on Oahu. Additional Background, Awards: 1984 to 1990 Nominated and accepted to be one of the "250 Most Outstanding Women in America" in 1984, and was nominated for the next 6 years.
