About Catherine

Hello! I am a direct support professional with experience working with adults and children with autism and/or ID/DD. I am patient and empathetic to anyone I get to spend time with. I try to keep things positive and fun. Crafting is my passion, and I love to share this with kiddos. I knit, raise angora rabbits, and spin their wool into yarn. The rabbits are a lot of fun and a big hit with the people I work with. I am majoring in Recreation Therapy to use my knowledge of crafts and arts in a therapeutic way. Spending time outside is always a priority, but I also enjoy reading comic books and playing playing video games. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have training in caring for people with developmental disabilities. I am looking to help a family in the Burnsville/Barnardsville area, so reach out if it seems like I'm a good fit!
