About Carlee

Hi there! My name is Carlee, but you can call me Carl! (They/them pronouns) I am an experienced community arts educator and psychology graduate who recently moved to southwest Portland. I am looking to find work where I can continue working with children as I have spent the past two years working with youth ages 4-18 in arts educational settings and have really enjoyed that experience. I have hundreds of hours of experience working in youth summer camps and am comfortable with supporting a school day routine as well. In addition to my professional experience working with children, I consider my lived experience helping raise my younger brother (who's almost 18 now!) with high care needs related to autism and ADHD to be some of my most valuable sources of childcare knowledge. I always prioritize child safety and well-being, but also take a growth oriented, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children. I have my own transportation and a relatively flexible schedule.
