About Camilia

Caring for my godmother for over 10 years has helped me understand the need for adult companionship. She used to tell me that once you get in a wheelchair people forget you're human and treat you like a patient. I told her if she felt like going, I would be glad to take her. So we went everywhere as if she never became ill. We went to dinner and shopping and concerts. Even when her eyes became dim, I would give her details to the shows as if she could see them herself. I believe that brought a quality of life to her and possibly added to her life until she recently went to Heaven. I would offer the same care and attention to any senior in need.
