About Callie

Hi! My name is Callie. I tutor a wide range of subjects and ages, working with students from age 5 upward. I hold a BA from NYU, specializing in language (English and French), humanities, and the arts. As a tutor, I build personalized curriculum for each student, incorporating creative arts, play, movement, and dance. I am comfortable working with neurodivergent children and those with neurodevelopmental or physical/mental health conditions. I've been commended on my ability to switch registers and adapt to where the young person is - emotionally and intellectually - so they feel seen and empowered to progress in their learning. My tutoring spans literacy, comprehension, dance, and musical instruments, and I always aim to build broader critical thinking and communication skills while facilitating safety, joy, and empowerment.
