About Sophia

Hi there! I am an experienced tutor and academic coach both virtually and in person. After working as an Academic Intervention Aid at a middle/high school, I started in graduate school studying Sociology. I missed working with students one-on-one and so I began tutoring again. Everyone learns a little differently, and I love collaborating with my students to figure this out with them. I specialize in ages 11 to 18 in Math, Science, History, and English. I am skilled in teaching all levels of essay writing and reading analysis. Additionally, I have worked for 3 years as a college application tutor. On my own time, I love to dance! As the child of artists, art and movement are a huge part of my life. Whether it's swing dancing, embroidery, or poetry, my free time is always occupied with some creative endeavor.
