About Caitlin

Hi, I'm Caitlin! I am a Premiere Substitute Teacher, most recently at Tonda Elementary in Canton, Michigan. I have a background in Graphic Design, Videography and foreign languages. After several years working in non-profit and media positions, I began substitute teaching for a change of pace. While I have previous experience in volunteer tutoring/after school programs, this was my first long-term experience working in an educational setting- and I loved it! Being off for the summer has reminded me how much I miss working with students every day. I am fluent in Spanish and have experience working with refugee/immigrant children learning English as a second language. I am currently working on my TEFL certificate to teach English abroad. My background in language and the arts has taught me the importance of communication- with adults and children alike.
