About Brooklynn

Stanford graduate, current MA student, and previous 5th grade teacher. Tutoring any K12 subject as well as college-level intro courses, social science and humanities. I have taught a wide variety of students and believe in catering my lessons to the needs of each unique individual. I have a special heart for students with extra needs given my experience teaching students who were in-patient as a result of emotional and intellectual needs. I believe in teaching and cultivating the whole student. As a previous 5th grade teacher, I believe fun and engagement are an integral part of any lesson. I would never shy away from game-ifying any previously-dry concept. I heavily utilize projects, games, and activities because I don't think the depth, focus, and engagement gained from their use can be beat. I am also a big believer in conversation as a way to solidly and further knowledge, demonstration followed by hands-on practice, and repetition.
