About Beth

I have 10+ years of experience working with Algebra1 + 2 learning experiences in a classroom, suburban and urban public, online and tutoring. I challenged academically talented math students by teaching the fundamental language of maths, science, probability and stats. I've used the Socratic method as often as possible so students are enabled to take the lead in learning and teamwork. I can teach how to think logically and quickly for exams and how to use graphing calculators as tools. I challenge students to discuss and debate processes to further develop understanding and experience with the language and tools of higher math and applications. Recently, I have enjoyed online tutoring of students in Florida and New York. It can be done well via computer or in-person. We can discuss online options.
