Hello! My name is Austin B. I'm a tutor in the greater Charlottesville area. I specialize in writing instruction, meaning that I can assist students with any piece of writing (school essay, college application, cover letter, etc.) at any stage (brainstorming, outlining, drafting, editing). I have over 10 years of education in Latin and four in French, as well, and am also capable of tutoring those subjects as well. I'm currently a Ph. D. student in the English department at the University of Virginia. I received my Master's in English from the University of Oxford, and a B. A. in English from Hillsdale College. At UVA I have taught students directly, serving as the instructor of record for the university's introductory writing course. I have also worked in the university writing center, providing tutoring and instruction to advanced undergraduates and graduate students.
