About Emily

Hello! My name is Emily (she/her). I'm 27 years old and am about to graduate with my Master of Teaching degree from the University of Virginia. Through my student teaching experiences, I have worked in classroom settings with both 6th graders and 10th graders. I am also a professional writing tutor with 4 years of experience working in this capacity at Piedmont Virginia Community College. I have worked with younger kids in a number of volunteer capacities including four years of summer work at the Virginia Discovery Museum. I also have experience working with kids and adults with disabilities. I am committed to anti-racist and anti-oppressive values. In terms of the services I can provide, I am open to babysitting and tutoring as well as pet sitting, shopping, cooking, and cleaning. I would love to connect and work with you!
