About Annie

Hi! My name is Annie, and I would describe myself as present, patient, and engaged. I have experience working with children of many ages in a variety of settings. I volunteered as an ESL tutor for elementary-aged children at El Centro Hispano, worked in the after-school program and as an early school teacher assistant at Carolina Friends School, and have extensive babysitting experience with multiple families. Growing up with a brother 10 years younger than me also gave me valuable firsthand childcare experience. I love being outside, playing basketball and soccer, making art, reading, and going on walks. Really, though, I have the ability to get excited about the ideas and interests of the people around me, no matter the topic. I love learning about new things and can find a way to become interested in anything. I believe every child deserves the people around them to be attentive and caring. I also understand the importance of maintaining clear boundaries and prioritizing safety.
