About Micaela

I was the oldest child with multiple siblings and the youngest being 9 years younger. I grew up babysitting my siblings, working at Boy Skout camps, coaching youth teams, and teaching, not just for my siblings but for the greater community. The past few years I have been coaching youth 5-12 in various sports leagues through VOLO and YES, and I have been teaching/mentoring high school and college students interested in pursuing careers in STEM. One thing you should know about me is I have lots of experience with kids and pets of all types. I am the oldest of 3 siblings with 2 younger brothers and a younger sister who I helped raise as the "third parent". I also worked at a vet hospital in high school and have had many cats and dogs myself. Additionally, I am beginning a PhD this fall in biomedical sciences, and I am happy to teach or mentor any teenager interested in going into STEM!
