I have been tutoring for years and genuinely love working with kids of all ages to help them not only do the best they can in difficult subjects, but also learn to enjoy those tougher areas of study. I worked as a 7th grade math teacher before attending Columbia Journalism School in 2020 and pivoting to a career in journalism. I do freelance work for NPR and specialize in long form writing. Now, I write for the Portland Press Herald where I cover Portland City Hall. I offer tutoring in math, English, and test prep and college essay help. I also speak Spanish and lived abroad in Colombia last year, so I offer tutoring in Spanish as well. I would love to meet and get to know more about what sort of support your student needs!
