About Andrea

Hello families, my name is Andrea. I am a RN by trade but currently a stay at home mom, homeschooling my 2 daughters ages 12& 10. My 10 yr old daughter is dyslexic so I did what every mom would do, I submerged myself into everything about dyslexia. My daughter has done Orton Gillingham programs specifically for dyslexic kids, Visual therapy and basically everything under the sun from special tutor or whatever I can get my hands on. My daughter has come a long way from when she was diagnosed years ago and has had some progress but about 5 weeks ago we tried something that was under my nose & guess what it worked! In just those 5 weeks she has gained 1yr8mo. She is doing so well! As a parent it broke my heart to see her struggling and her confidence melt away. She knows that she has to try twice as hard as everyone else but her self-esteem is and confidence is back! I am not claiming to know it all about reading/dyslexia but I really put my heart into it and I believe I can help!
