School can be difficult, both academically and socially. Whether learning to follow classroom rules as a kindergartener, figuring out how to make it from room to room before the bell in middle school, or struggling with fitting in and self-esteem in high school, students of all ages can find themselves having difficulties in school. Add confusion and a lack of understanding in academic subjects and many students become overwhelmed and give up on themselves. A little extra help can make all the difference in turning school from a dreaded chore into something slightly, or even significantly, more enjoyable. I have tutored English as a Second Language extensively for four years, working on grammar, vocabulary, listening comprehension, speaking comfort and ability, pronunciation, essay organization and composition, reading comprehension, and overall confidence, helping many prepare for the TOEFL or IELTS. The other subject areas in which I tutor with confidence are language arts & English.
