About Amarilis

I have 7 years of experience working with all ages and learning abilities. I'm a behavioral interventionist in an elementary school district. I work with children on the spectrum and gen-ed helping them reintegrate into the classroom, and helping both students and coworkers with behavioral management. Being a significant figure in a child's life is an honor. Every child deserves a loving, safe, and comfortable childhood, and I want to contribute to that. I'm seeking a position with parents who prioritize communication and a shared vision for their child's well-being. My journey with children began at 16 as a swim instructor, then a para educator, swim and water polo coach, and now a behavioral interventionist. I love art, hiking, tide pooling, visiting museums/aquariums, and swimming. I approach my work understanding the importance of alignment between educators and parents. I lead with a gentle heart but firmly address disrespect. My key skills are communication, patience, and love.
