About Amanda

Hi there! I am a recent teacher looking for a new way to still work with youth and lend a helping hand. I am high energy and feel comfortable with groups of kids ages pre k through high school. When it comes to youth; I'm a strong believer in supportive and stable environments, creative expression, and the ability to assess needs via different situations. My experience varies from babysitting young family in high school , to working as a youth mentor for two non for profits, to my most recent position as a garden educator leading classes 15 + . My work with youth has been within a multitude of capacities ranging from teaching them bike mechanics, gardening, stem education, and leading after school matters programs. I have worked consistently with youth in my past 4 years of work as well as interning as a youth mentor in college. I've worked with youth to create events for large organizations to day to day mentoring, tutoring and chaperoning and everything in between.
